3 Days Safari to Murchision Falls

This 4 days Uganda Camping Safari starts and finishes in Kampala taking you through Murchison Falls National Park, the largest park in Uganda and one of the best scenic parks in Africa. This safari is available on both scheduled and tailormade basis.

This Uganda safari takes you through the Murchison Falls National Park which is among the must-be-visited destinations inishasha tree climbing lions Uganda. Murchison falls is Uganda’s largest national park protecting a large chunk of untamed African savannah. The park is bisected into two by the Mighty River Nile which is the second world’s longest river.

The park derives its name from the dramatic Murchison Falls formed at the point where the world's longest river explodes violently through a narrow cleft in the Rift Valley escarpment to plunge into a frothing pool 43m below. The park has got a number of wild animals in large numbers which include hippos, elephants, and antelopes among others. The launch trip to the bottom of the fall is quite an unforgettable experience which you should not miss while on the safari. The safari will also involve you in primate tracking in the Kaniyo-Pabidi forest as well as bird watching.

Day 1: Kampala - Murchison Falls National Park

Begin the panoramic drive North-west through famous Luwero Triangle and Masindi Town to Murchison Falls National Park. Have s top over at Masindi for lunch and then proceed to the top of the falls where you can see the Nile's beauty perfected! Marvel at the Nile, compressing from 50 meters to squeeze through a 6-meter canyon dropping 40 meters with a thunderous roar. Dinner and overnight at Para Safari Lodge.

Day 2: Game Viewing Safari - Murchison Falls NP


After an early morning breakfast and then a game drive via the Nyamsika plateau, enjoy the view and you may see elephant, lion, buffalo, giraffe, hartebeests and many more. After lunch, proceed for a boat trip on placid Victoria Nile, upstream, to the base of the Falls. En route you will see hippos, crocodiles, water buck and a wide variety of birds like the unusual shoebill stork. The boat stops just tens of meters from the "Devil's Cauldron". Take pictures of the photogenic and majestic Murchison Falls. Return to Para Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Return Trip to Kampala

After an early morning breakfast, another game drive and then Leisurely drive back to Kampala.
