Uganda Safaris | Uganda Wildlife Chimp Safari

A 8 Days Uganda Safari combining both chimpanzee tracking and game viewing in Queen Elizabeth and Lake Mburo National Park.

This is an eight days wildlife chimpanzee safari starting in Kampala and ending in Entebbe.

This safari takes you to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Located in the western part of Uganda, the park is designated as an IUCN biosphere reserve` . s diverse eco system of savannah plains, tropical forests, rivers, swamps and volcanic craters is home to a staggering variety of wildlife. In addition there are huge numbers of migratory birds in the area all with the stunning Rwenzori Mountains as a back drop.

Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale District, southwestern Uganda is reputed to be one of the deepest in Africa. There are no fish in the lake but it does contain a large population of freshwater crayfish. The surrounding hills are the home of the Bakiga people who are cultivators by tradition.

The closest savannah reserve to Kampala, Lake Mburo National Park is centred on a series of swamp-fringed lakes known for their rich birdlife, notably the secretive African finfoot. The green acacia woodland surrounding the lake harbours dense populations of zebra, warthog, buffalo, impala and various other grazers, including the last surviving Ugandan population of eland, the largest of African antelope.
